Committees that work for GPHA

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee is committed to keeping GPHA members informed and engaged by sharing important updates, news, and events in a timely manner. We manage the association’s quarterly newsletter, website, and social media accounts to make information easily accessible and foster a sense of community. Through consistent communication efforts, we ensure that members are always in the loop and feel connected to what’s happening in the neighborhood.

Community Life

The Community Life Committee is dedicated to creating a welcoming and connected environment for all residents and owners at Gaspee Point. We aim to build a strong sense of community by encouraging active participation in various initiatives and fostering meaningful relationships. By engaging with our members, management team, and neighbors, we strive to enhance the experience and value of GPHA membership, ensuring everyone feels a sense of belonging and pride in our neighborhood.

Governance

The Governance Committee, which includes the Bylaws, Land Purchase, and Tax & Legislation subcommittees, serves as the guiding body of the GPHA, focused on protecting members' rights as outlined in our Bylaws. We carefully review and advise on amendments, support the development of a land purchase plan, and stay informed on legislation impacting homeowners on leased land. Our goal is to keep GPHA legally sound and aligned with our members’ interests.

Membership

The Membership Committee is focused on welcoming new homeowners and building a strong GPHA membership. We reach out to all homeowners, encouraging them to join, share their ideas, and get involved in community activities. By highlighting the benefits of membership and offering various leadership and committee opportunities, we aim to build a community that values each member’s input and talents, ensuring a vibrant and engaged association.

Shoreline and Conservation

The Shoreline and Conservation Committee is dedicated to preserving and protecting Gaspee Point’s natural resources. We educate the community on issues like local wildlife while also exploring strategies to safeguard the area for future generations. Our role includes researching conservation tactics, liaising with external groups, and protecting the beauty of our shared land and wildlife habitats so they remain a cherished part of our community.

Safety and Security

The Safety Committee is focused on creating a safe and secure environment for our community. We coordinate a neighborhood safety watch, and our committee regularly invites local police officers for community discussions, giving residents a chance to ask questions and build a positive relationship with law enforcement. We also work closely with the dog safety officer to promote responsible pet ownership and ensure that everyone, including our furry friends, can enjoy a safe neighborhood.
